UNMISS Chief gives University Students vital tips at opening of Peace Fair

[...] "You students, you are the future South Sudan you are the leaders or future leaders of South Sudan as well and it’s for that reason that we are here today to assist and to work with you in providing for that future, " said David Shearer, the Special Representative of the Secretary General speaking at the opening of the Peace Fair organised by the UN Mission in South Sudan.

David Shearer was one of the high level dignitaries that turned up today at the University of Juba football ground, for the official opening of the Inter-university peace league.

The UNMISS Head reminded the students to realize that universities a play key role in producing ideas and future leaders. He stressed the potential of universities as places that breed free speech that is constructive to societies.
