The Thursday Movie Review - 9th March 2017

Joff Hopkins from Anglian Radio's Evening Show is joined by film critic Mark Searby to review the week's new films.

In the week of International Women's Day, we feature two movies at the cinema with female leads:

Isabelle Huppert stars in ELLE - a psychological thriller from Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, RoboCop). Huppert plays a businesswoman who is attacked in her home by a masked assailant and decides not to report it due to her past experience with police.

Meanwhile a film with a unique look - THE LOVE WITCH - has Samantha Robinson in the story of a modern-day witch who uses spells and magic to get men to fall in love with her.

And on DVD: if you like westerns, check out IN A VALLEY OF VIOLENCE, starring Ethan Hawke, Taissa Farmiga, James Ransone, Karen Gillan and John Travolta.
