A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the neck in Carrick yesterday. He's been named as Geordie Gilmore and is understood to be a high-profile loyalist. He had posted on his Facebook page on the eve of the gun attack "the days of the UDA putting people out of Carrick are over". There has been an ongoing feud between loyalist factions in Carrickfergus for some time. In December Stephen spoke to ACC Stephen Martin about this after the PSNI had revealed they had spent £1.6m policing the loyalist row in the Castlemarra estate in the town due to a dispute involving the South East Antrim UDA.This morning Stephen got reaction from UUP MLA Roy Beggs, Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson.
