Communities cautioned against addressing cases of Gender Based Violence

Survivors and relatives of victims of sexual abuse are being advised to seek redress and support through the right channels.

Walter Mawere, the managing director, of Smile Again Africa Development Organisation - SAADO, a local non-governmental organization says sexual abuse is a crime that must be addressed through medical and legal means.

Mawere says cases should not be handled by the communities.

Last Madzivanyika, a Gender and Protection Advisor with Smile Again organization explains some of the forms of abuse that should be reported.
