Concerns mount over rape as two teenagers are defiled in Maridi

As concerns mount over the rising levels of rape incidents in South Sudan, Radio Miraya has learnt of two cases of sexual abuse targeting a 14 – year old girl and an epileptic teenager in Maridi.

A recent report in the media cited an ‘epic’ level of rape cases in South Sudan, while a UN Human Rights Commission on South Sudan recently said rape and killing “have become the norm.”

A health educator and activist who preferred to remain anonymous gives the details of the recent cases in Maridi.
