Government to investigate weekend attack on aid workers, UN welcomes move

The government is initiating an investigation into the weekend attack that left six aid workers dead. Meeting with humanitarian partners in Juba today, Cabinet Affairs Minister Martin Elia Lomuro said the perpetrators of the weekend attack along the Juba-Bor road would be held to account.
The meeting in Juba was attended by UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Eugene Owusu, representatives from UN agencies and officials from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
Lomuro said the act is unacceptable further adding that the culprits will face the ‘full force of the law.’
