Lehi police apologize after cruiser hits dog, fails to stop

Complaints from witnesses have Lehi police apologizing about what happened when a mechanic was testing out a police cruiser. They say he hit a dog and failed to stop to check on the animal or provide help. It's not clear whether or not the dog survived.
