Reaction In Glasgow To General Election Announcement

The Prime Minister is asking MPs to approve holding a General Election on the 8th of June.

Theresa May says she's doing it reluctantly - but insists it's the only way to get rid of risk and uncertainty as we leave the European Union.

She spoke to the Queen yesterday - and got the full backing of her Cabinet this morning.
