Kosti Manibe, a former Political Detainee and a member of the G10 who was recently appointed to the steering committee of the national dialogue has declined his appointment on grounds that his group was not consulted.

Last week President Salva Kiir issued a decree appointing Abel Alier and Angelo Beda as new co-chairs and Rebecca Nyanda and Kosti Manibe as members representing the former political detainees.

Manibe, a former finance minister, applauds the idea of the national dialogue as a platform to bring people together but said it has to be done in the right way.

He spoke to Sebit William in this interview.
