Syros, Greek Island

Keri Jones reports from Syros, a Greek Island in the Cyclades chain. Syros is unlike any of the other islands. Its capital was the busiest port in Greece in the 18th century and you can see the wealth from the grand classical and neoclassical merchants’ mansions. Syros isn’t a tourism island so its excellent cafes and bars are considerably cheaper than other nearby island destinations like Mykonos.
