A social worker in Uganda says children who fled conflict in South Sudan to Uganda need psychosocial support after witnessing horrific scenes of violence.

Jackie Bage, a social worker with the Young Women Christian Association, the YMCA says most refugee children are suffering from trauma after witnessing their parents or relative being killed or tortured.

She urges organizations dealing with children in the refugees’ camp to extend support to parents of traumatized children so they can better take care of their children.
