EU Ambassador: Long Lasting Peace is based on compromise and dialogue

The European Union Ambassador says the EU remains committed to standing with the people of South Sudan in their quest for peace. He added that "long lasting peace is based on compromise and dialogue."

Ambassador Stefano De Leo made the comments during this year’s Europe Day celebrations, commemorated on the 9th of May every year to celebrate peace and unity among European Member Countries. Ambassador De Leo dedicated this year’s observance to reflecting on the suffering of the people of South Sudan.

Henry Lokuri spoke with the ambassador and began by asking how significant is the EU day.
