A Women’s Global Open Days forum kicks off in Juba this week to empower women in peace and security issues across the country.

Women representatives will meet to deliberate on issues to do with gender parity, gender equality and sexual and gender based violence.

Speaking to Radio Miraya ahead of the meeting, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and UN Humanitarian Coordinator in South Sudan, Eugene Owusu, said the meeting seeks to provide a platform for women at all levels and empower their participation in peace processes.
