Rwanda is emerging as an African destination for wildlife – watching and for curious travellers looking for somewhere different to spend time. It’s a green, mountainous nation but has a history tinged with tragedy. Many people are aware of the genocide of 1994 during which an estimated 800,000 people were killed following ethnic tensions.
