The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees says peace must be restored to give displaced persons confidence to return to their homes.

Filippo Grandi made the call during a visit to the UN Protection of Civilians 3 camp outside the UN House in Juba, which hosts some 38,000 IDPs.

High Commissioner Grandi said the consistent message he received from the IDPs was that they would not return to their homes until their safety is guaranteed.

He spoke with the Press after an interaction with the Internally displaced persons and this was his message.
