Weightlifting has been marred by controversy over doping in recent years, including 50 positives through retroactive testing from the 2008 and 2012 Olympics combined. Now the IOC is taking a stand and telling weightlifting that they have 6 months to clean up their act or face potential expulsion from the 2024 Olympics, as well as having already reduced the number of competitors for the 2020 Games in Tokyo.
