Uganda Seeks to Raise $2billion dollars at Solidarity Summit for Refugees

The U.N. Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and other high-ranking international officials and donors arrive in Kampala this week for a two - day Refugee Solidarity Conference.
The conference in Kampala this Thursday and Friday seeks to raise $2 billion dollars to support refugees being hosted by Uganda over the next four years.
About one million people who have fled the conflict in South Sudan, have sought refugee in Uganda. Just last week, the UN's World Food Program was forced to cut the food rations for the refugees.
Rocco Nuri, UNHCR communications officer told Sani Martin the Solidarity Summit will also showcase the Uganda refugee model.
