Disappearance of 3 Women in Yei Probed

Authorities in Yei River State are investigating the disappearance of three women.

The women reportedly went missing when they went to their gardens early this week. Yei has in recent months witnessed a wave of killings, disappearances and sexual violence against women and girls.

Last week Radio Miraya reported that the bodies of nine civilians were found buried in the outskirts of the town.

Speaking to Radio Miraya, Governor of Yei River state David Lokonga Moses describes the incident as unfortunate and says investigations are ongoing.
