Thousands of people took to the streets of Belfast on Saturday in a protest march and rally calling for legalisation of same-sex marriage. Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK and Ireland where same-sex marriage is still banned. The issue is one of the major stumbling blocks in the ongoing Stormont crisis. Speaking to Radio 4's Any Questions in Ballymena at the weekend, the DUP's South Belfast MLA Christopher Stalford cast doubt on whether the DUP had a clear mandate to block same sex marriage after the March Assembly election. So does that sound like the DUP accepting that they don't have a mandate to block same sex marriage? John O'Doherty from the Rainbow Project and Tracey Harkin from the Iona Institute discuss.
