Dozens killed, scores injured, 7000 head of cattle raided in attack on Jalle Payam

More than 30 people have been confirmed dead and scores injured in an attack on a cattle camp in Jalle Payam of Jonglei state.

Radio Miraya correspondent, says the attack on Jalle Payam occurred on Saturday, resulting into deaths, injuries, destruction of homes and raiding of cattle.

The correspondent says up to 31 people, including four women, four children and 9-suspected cattle raiders were killed, and 19 people wounded in the attack.

More than seven thousand head of cattle were stolen in the raid.
