IGAD Council of Ministers calls for concerted efforts to restore Peace in South Sudan

A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development –IGAD, has officially opened in Juba, with a renewed call on all parties to the conflict, to support the revitalization process. The IGAD Council of Ministers is here to deliberate the peace process in South Sudan and the planned High Level Revitalization Forum, as well as the 2017 IGAD Secretariat Budget. Officially opening the meeting this afternoon, the Chairperson of the IGAD council of Ministers, Workneh Gebeyehu, stressed the need for an accommodative, inclusive and viable process.
