A special fund to pay for unionists to learn about their culture - and STOP burning bonfires! What do you reckon? That is what a senior Sinn Féin member is calling for as reported by Belfast Live. Belfast councillor Jim McVeigh has said there needs to be a strategy along with a 'substantial fund that should be contributed to by central government, local councils and other agencies'.

The strategy would involve suggesting to some bonfire sites - 'don't have a bonfire, celebrate your culture in a different way'.
