UN Peacekeeping operations chief reaffirms need to cooperate on ceasefire

The Head of the UN Peacekeeping Operations, Jeane-Pierre Lacrox, has reaffirmed the need for government cooperation to ensure the end of hostilities in the country.
Lacroix said this in a meeting with President Salva Kiir, at the SPLA Military Headquarters in Bilpha. He stressed the need to strengthen the ceasefire, saying the government forces and armed opposition groups must respect this.
Speaking to reporters in Juba, following a meeting with the President, Jean-Pierre Lacroix said discussions also covered the peace process, the deployment of the Regional Protection Force and the National Dialogue.
