Death toll from fighting in Gok state rises to 50 as tension remains high

At least 50 people were killed and more than 70 injured in two separate inter- communal clashes in Cueibet and Cit-Chok. Gok state Governor, Madhang Majok Meen, says the death toll from the fighting in Cueibet has shot up from 25 to 41 deaths, while the clashes in Cit-Cok has claimed the lives of 14 people, including the regional court Chief, his two children and a cousin.
