One of the most talked about stories the Nolan Show has done over recent times has been Ebikes. We revealed to the public at the beginning of the week that unlike England, Scotland and Wales people in Northern Ireland must have their push Ebikes insured, taxed and possibly MOT'd. We take the story further this morning. The Department of Infrastructure is sitting on a key piece of information. The department knows it is currently impossible to register an Ebike in NI. And yet they will not make that public. We have written to them and yet they continue to keep the public in the dark about this. So we are telling you this morning - you cannot register an Ebike in NI. The question is why has a Stormont department not told any of you this. And another key question - how long have they known this? Halfords have written to all customers in NI, telling them to immediately stop using an Ebikes. Stephen spoke to Alliance MLA Chris Lyttle, he has written to the Secretary of State about the Ebike debacle. We also spoke to Nolan listener Chris, he owns an Ebike.
