On World Humanitarian Day, UNICEF Communications officer stresses Aid workers #Notatarget

Ahead of the #worldhumanitarianday, the United Nations Children's agency, UNICEF, says the number of children recruited in armed ranks in South Sudan has reached nearly 18,000.

UNICEF Chief of Communications Tim Irwin spoke to Miraya Breakfast show saying the children of #SouthSudan face continued violations, with millions displaced by the conflict.

Tim Irwin said access to the people in most need is crucial; "If they can reach them, they can help them, Aid workers are #Notatarget, Women and Children are Not a target.
