Thousands will descend on Herne Bay today for the South East Air Show to witness 15 fighter jets in action. The free event costs around £100,000 to put on, and will include performances from the world famous Red Arrows, but only one Spitfire will perform in The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight after an engine fault was spotted in both the Lancaster and Hurricane. Here senior organiser Gerald McCarthy talks about the future of the show.
