Gloria Feldt: Resistance Alone Won’t Bring About Women’s Equality

When white supremacists and neo-Nazis gathered in Charlottesville earlier this month, disdain for women oozed out. Indeed, some have called misogyny the “gateway drug” to the “alt-right” agenda on full-out ugly display.

I’m not surprised.

Every year on Aug. 26, I write an article recognizing Women’s Equality Day, a holiday established in 1971 to commemorate the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.
