#SouthSudan Foreign Affairs Ministry dispatches one month salary arrears for embassy staff abroad

The government has transferred funds to pay salaries for its staff in diplomatic missions abroad.

Radio Miraya reported last week that staff at the 29 foreign embassies had gone up to four months without salaries, while some embassies faced threats of closure because of unpaid rent.

Spokesperson for the Foreign Affairs ministry Mawien Makol Arik says the remaining arrears will be cleared once more money has been secured.
