The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 – was it the icing on the cake or did it have a soggy bottom?

It was one of the jewels in the BBC crown but last night the Great British Bake Off began in its new home on channel 4 with a new line up. Gone are hosts Mel and Sue along with judge Mary Berry, replaced by Sandi Toksvig, food writer Prue Leith and comedian Noel Fielding with Paul Hollywood being the only remaining from the original line up.
