Sinn Fein has rejected a plan by the DUP leader Arlene Foster to break the deadlock at Stormont. It involved restoring the Executive and dealing with the outstanding issues at the same time in a parallel process. The DUP leader described it as the "common sense solution" but it was quickly dismissed by Sinn Fein. Arlene Foster outlined her plan at a meeting of the DUP executive in Belfast last night.
