Until the summer of 2016, George Osborne was one of the British government's most powerful people. Now, he is one of its most outspoken critics. The 46-year-old was the U.K.’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, or finance minister, from 2010 to 2016, and had been tipped to eventually succeed his good friend David Cameron as Prime Minister.
