ICRC suspends operations after attack on marked convoy

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has suspended operations in the Equatoria region following the killing of one of its staff members.

Lukudu Kennedy Laki, a truck driver was shot in a convoy returning from an assistance operation in Western Equatoria, #SouthSudan last Friday.

The truck was in a convoy of nine that had delivered humanitarian assistance to Ezo County when they fell in an ambush in Kotobi payam of Mundri County in Amadi state.

Robin Waudo, ICRC’s Communication and Law Coordinator says their activities will remain on halt pending review of the situation.

He spoke to Agole Alex in this interview.
