Hawkman [vol 4] #23 (2004)

We actually get around to a book in the new millennium this week with HAWKMAN in the JSA / Black Reign crossover. This one, though, is one of those stop-gap issues that exists to show what wackiness the JSA can get into when they go civilian. For some reason, Hawkman and Hawkgirl live in faux New Orleans and decided to have the JSA come down for Hawkman’s, I guess, birthday? Why does he even have a birthday here on earth? SPACE ALIENS CAN'T HAVE BIRTHDAYS! Anyways, Wildcat does his best “Bender as a human impression” and Power Girl's comically huge knockers get bigger with each panel (I’m not kidding). Its like this book was written by Geoff Juggs instead of Geoff Johns (see what I did there)
