Chief officer of Malaviya Seven: "the first thing I'm going to do is hug my family"

The Malaviya Seven was first detained last summer, before being held again in October. Workers will be paid an estimated £600,000 in outstanding wages when the boat is sold. The courts paved the way for the vessel to go to auction this morning.

Chief officer Bamadev Swain tells us how he and his family reacted to the news, what he will do when he gets home, the difficulties of living without a wage for more than a year, and thanks the North East for welcoming the crew.
