Sickness levels in the Northern Ireland Civil Service have risen to their highest level in five years. An average of 12.4 days were lost per employee last year - up from 11.7 the previous year. Approximately 1 in every 8 staff had at least 1 spell of long-term absence lasting around 3 months on average.
