(September 25, 2017) - A man drifting his orange Scion through a parking lot drifted right into trouble when he did it in full view of two police officers.

On September 24, 2017 at approximately 12:15 a.m. during a routine check of the area, officers observed an orange Scion drifting and speeding through the parking lot at 100 Hancock Bridge Parkway (Publix). The Scion very nearly struck another vehicle in front of it, and there were several onlookers on foot in the parking lot.

The officers conducted a traffic stop on the car and made contact with the driver, Hector Manso-Paz (DOB: 3-23-98). Manso-Paz was placed under arrest for reckless driving. An inventory search of his vehicle prior to towing also revealed a baggie of cocaine, resulting in an additional possession of cocaine charge for Manso-Paz. Manso-Paz was transported to the Lee County Jail.
