Government Adopts New Rations system for Rice Donation from China

The Relief and Rehabilitation Commission has adopted a ration system for the distribution of rice that was donated by the Chinese government.
The rice will now be given directly to households after reports that it was being sold on the open market.
Deputy Chairperson of Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, Paul Del Gum says a committee has been put in place to follow up on the distribution to targeted beneficiaries, while security operatives are assisting with surveillance to arrest anyone found selling the rice.
Gabriel Shaddar asked Paul Del Gum what progress has been made in tracking down Rice donations being sold on the open market.
