Ghanaian peacekeepers have provided much needed veterinary services to cattle camps in Bentiu.

The UNMISS peacekeepers treated and vaccinated more than 6,000 cattle in Biemruok Camp. They stepped in after the conflict forced the closure of veterinary clinics that were operated by the state Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

UNMISS spokesperson Daniel Dickinson says the Ghanaian peacekeepers have been closing the gap with free assistance for the past few months.

Daniel Dickinson brings us up to speed about this and more about the mission’s activities over the past week.
