Birmingham City Council tell Heart Al-Hijrah School ruling is contradictory and has been unfairly singled out

Three judges have ruled that an Islamic faith school, which segregates boys and girls, is committing unlawful sex discrimination.

The ruling against Al-Hijrah school in Bordesley Green in Birmingham will affect all schools in the UK who split up pupils.

Colin Diamond is from Birmingham City Council and told Heart they want to provide schools that meet the needs of parents from all cultures and religions.
