Press Meet on Raping a Minor Girl

A group of social activists from Bhubaneswar , Koraput & Malkangiri addressed media persons after returning from the village near Kunduli in Koraput district where a minor girl was allegedly gang raped recently . They have alleged that the state government was trying to suppress the issue , was not giving any interim relief to the victim , the girl was not kept in special room , best quality medical attention was not given , civil society in Koraput district was not doing enough to put pressure on the Government .They supported the demand made by the villagers to pay compensation of Rs.2Cr. and asked the CM to grant Rs.10Lakh as an immediate measure.
