The United Nations Mine action Service, UNMAS was established in 1997.

Twenty –years down the road, UNMAS has been critical to ensuring an effective, proactive and coordinated response to the problems of landmines and explosive remnants of war.

Ahead of the UN Day celebrated each year on October 24th, we ask; of what relevance is the UN mine action Service to South Sudan?
