kmfm's been told that an average of two-and-a-half foreign lorry drivers a day were handed fines for going over their legal driving hours in the first seven months of this year. The Freedom of Information request to Kent Police shows that 542 foreign registered lorry drivers were fined, compared to just seven from the UK in the same period. Drivers must keep a record of how long they have been driving for and how long their breaks have been. James Firth is from the Freight Transport Association.
