For the first time ever, visitors to a museum in Kent can see the county's only Egyptian mummy. The display of Ta-Kush, who died over 2700 years ago, and can be seen in Maidstone Museum's new gallery, which has been funded by a £78000 Heritage Lottery Fund grant. The exhibition includes her decorative coffin and results of a recent hospital scan, which show her age and what she could have looked like. TV archaeologist Julian Richards helped was at the launch.
