South Sudanese film makers appeal for support

South Sudanese filmmakers are asking the government to support the local film industry to paint a positive image of the country abroad.

This appeal comes after a South Sudanese film won an award at the 8th Silicon Valley African Film Festival, in San Jose, California, USA.

The short film titled ‘Zawaja Gali’ or Marriage is expensive, carries a message of breaking cultural barriers to marriage. The film’s Executive Producer, Charles Atiki Lomodong, Excecutive producer and writer, Sam Lukudu and the starring actor, Silvano Yokwe were hosted on Miraya Breakfast show to speak about the award winning film.
