UNMISS trains SPLA Child Protection officers in Juba

In Juba today, the child protection unit of the United Nations mission in South Sudan - #UNMISS will conduct a two day training for the SPLA soldiers in juba designed to the raise awareness about key child protection issues in the country.

This is just one in series of workshops designed to assist the SPLA in implementing the action plan it signed with the United Nations. under the action plan, the SPLA committed to stop and prevent the omission of the grave violations against children.

The army needs this support and the child protection Unit of the mission has stepped in with this support.

Alfred Orono Orono, Head of the Child Protection Unit of the UN mission in South Sudan spoke to Henry Lokuri, on why the mission’s support to the army is critical.
