Something here from the ‘golden age’ of radio. And this is creepy. In 1943, the BBC had a horror series called "Appointment With Fear", presented by Valentine Dyall. He was actually an actor who successfully invented and portrayed a character called ‘The Man In Black’; a dark storyteller, with a menacing tone. So, in 1949 it was fitting that ‘The Man In Black’ should get his own series. Most of the recordings have been lost, but here's a snippet.
