A Kent university lecturer's told kmfm more than 80% of us in the south east don't know how many armed forces have died since the second world war. The new stats show more than half think more needs to be done in schools to teach more modern history. Professor Ian Beckett is a military history lecturer at the Uni of Kent. He says ignorance is an issue.
