Wildlife Conservation Society targets schoolchildren in pilot conservation program

The Wildlife Conservation Society in South Sudan is implementing a new initiative designed to groom schoolchildren to love nature and preserve the environment.

The Kids for Wildlife and Peace pilot program has already been rolled out to select primary schools in Juba and Boma and so far slightly more than 200 children have been attracted to the program.

Rejoice Abba, a member of the Wildlife Conservation Society Communications and media team, says children the children are taught to understand the importance of protecting natural resources.

She explains why they targeted children.
