NILEPET Refutes Reports that it has relinquished fuel importation to Private sector

Nile Petroleum Company - NILEPET, the technical, operational and commercial arm of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining has refuted media reports circulating on the media that it is allowing private fuel station to import fuel into the country and set their own prices.

On Friday, sections of the media quoted NILEPET Director for Public Relations, Yiey Pouch Lur, saying that this decision is aimed to allow private fuel companies to import enough fuel supplies to the market.

However, speaking to Radio Miraya, Yiey Pouch, said Nile pet has not disowned the importation of fuel into the country and remains committed to its mandate to supply fuel to the country.
